Drive to Nayapul. Trek to Tikhedhunga (1,540m) — first day on the trail. 4 hrs walking.
Trek to Ghorepani (2,860m) through rhododendron forest — 6 hrs. Ecology session at camp.
Pre-dawn ascent of Poon Hill (3,210m) for the Himalayan sunrise — Dhaulagiri, Annapurna, Machapuchare in one view. Descend to Tadapani.
Trek to Chhomrong (2,170m) — a Gurung village with the Annapurna massif directly ahead. Community visit with Gurung students.
Trek deeper into the Annapurna Sanctuary approach. Guided ecology session on the impact of climate change on the Himalayan watershed.
Trek back down and transfer to Pokhara. Group celebration dinner.
Fly to Kathmandu. Transfer to airport.
