All accommodation, meals as stated, ground transport, permits, the guide team and every activity in the itinerary. International flights, travel insurance, Nepal visa (approx £30 on arrival) and personal spending are not included — and we never add them later.
Deposits start from £90 for short treks and vary by itinerary. They hold your place and are fully refundable if you cancel 90 or more days before departure. The balance is due 8 weeks before you fly.
Most people book alone and join a group of 4–14. Private departures are available from 2 people — ask us for a private rate.
Yes on most itineraries. Tell us your travel window — term dates, exam finish, a flight you've already booked — and we'll build around it.
It depends on the trek. Kathmandu and Pokhara trips require minimal fitness. Everest and Dolpo require sustained hiking fitness over multiple weeks. We'll tell you honestly in your enquiry whether a trip is realistic for your current level.
AMS is a genuine risk above 3,500m. All our high-altitude guides are wilderness first-aid trained and carry emergency oxygen. We design acclimatisation days into all itineraries above 3,500m. Travel insurance with helicopter evacuation cover is strongly recommended for any trek above 3,000m.
A valid passport (min 6 months validity), Nepal visa (available on arrival for UK/EU citizens, approx £30), travel insurance and the TIMS card (handled by us on arrival). We provide a full document checklist in your pre-departure pack.
Yes. All placements are vetted, all families (for au pair) are personally visited by our coordinator, and all volunteer accommodation is inspected. DBS clearance is required and we guide you through the process.
