What you’ll actually do
See both banks of Victoria Falls, cruise the Zambezi at sunset and stay with a village host.
Day by day
Your guide adapts each day to conditions, wildlife and how the group is going — the shape stays, the detail flexes.
Wildlife is free-ranging. Species and sightings vary with season and conditions, and no animal encounter is guaranteed.
Arrive at Victoria Falls Airport and meet your guide. Check into the guesthouse and take your first afternoon walk to the rim of the Falls. The spray cloud visible from miles away will become your constant companion.
Enter the Victoria Falls National Park rainforest — created entirely by the spray of the Falls — with your guide. Walk the full length of the Zimbabwe rim through dripping forest to 16 viewpoints. The roar and mist are astonishing.
Morning free for optional activities (helicopter, bungee, white water rafting — bookable locally). Afternoon: the iconic Zambezi sunset cruise — 2.5 hours on the river watching wildlife from the deck as the sun sets over Zambia.
Cross the border into Zambia and visit Victoria Falls from the Zambian side — widely considered the more dramatic view. Then explore Livingstone town, the David Livingstone Museum, and the edge of the gorge at Knife Edge Bridge.
Leave the tourist area and spend the day in the villages that have existed alongside the Falls for generations. Help with cooking, visit the community school, and settle in for an overnight homestay.
Early morning dugout canoe safari on the upper Zambezi — the section above the Falls where the river is calm. Different entirely from yesterday's boat — silent, close to the water, and extraordinary for wildlife.
Final morning walk to the Falls at sunrise — the most peaceful time. Farewell breakfast with your guide, airport transfer, and onward travel.

Before you ask
Everything on the included list on this page — accommodation, meals as stated, all ground transport, permits and park fees, your guide team, and every activity in the itinerary. International flights, travel insurance, visas and personal spending are not included, and we never add them later.
Message us on WhatsApp for current booking and payment details. It holds your place and is fully refundable if you cancel 90 or more days before departure. The balance is due 8 weeks before you fly, in a single payment.
Most travellers book alone and join a small group. If you'd rather have the trip run privately for you or your friends, tell us in the enquiry and we'll price it — private departures usually work from two people.
Tell us honestly in your enquiry and we'll say honestly whether it's realistic. On trekking routes we'll often suggest a shorter itinerary rather than sell you one you won't enjoy. Nobody is talked into a trip here.
The itinerary length is fixed but start dates are flexible on almost every trip. Give us the window you're working with — term dates, exam finish, a flight you've already found — and we'll build around it.
